Zabriskie Point

Zabriskie Point is an independent and volunteer-run contemporary art space, active since 2011. It occupies the space of a former bus shelter, located on the Plainpalais traffic circle, in the center of Geneva. Entirely glazed and closed, the exhibitions are visible 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, giving it a singular status, escaping the framework of traditional art spaces. By its geographical position and appearance, Zabriskie Point is intrinsically linked to questions concerning public space. The place has a particular relationship to the everyday, to the present and to reality. It also attracts a very wide audience, ranging from contemporary art lovers to public transport users.
